Turkey Day

This year for Thanksgiving we all went to my sister Kathy's house in Colorado Springs. Ryan and Katelyn were at Jeff's for the weekend so I was flying solo. There were 31 of us in all so it was a really calm and relaxing day!!!
My Uncle Mike deep fries the turkey each year so we sat back and watched the trained professionals...if you can call Roger and Taylor professionals.

My sister-in-law Natalie thought it would be a good idea to take a picture of me peeling potatoes just in case a single guy saw my blog and would think that I cook.

The boys were so proud of the job that they had done on the turkey. It was awesome!!!

My aunt Dixie decided to take the opportunity to teach Sam how to wash dishes. Natalie...has he been practicing at home???

After dinner we all played games including Taboo and the game our family refers to as the Osama Bin Laden game. Last year we had Thanksgiving at my house and played this game. Everyone puts in 10 names of famous people and then all the names are put in a bowl. The person who is giving the clues pulls out a slip of paper and give clues about the person. Last year my cousin Allie and I were on the same team. I was up for the last time and I pulled out the paper and misread the name which said Osama Bin Laden. I gave the clue "he is running for president" and my cousin Allie quickly responded Osama Bin Laden. We won the game!!!

Overall it was a fun time had by all. Thanks Kathy and Matt for having us this year.

I'll send all my single friends to your blog to see you cooking okay. ;) I love the turkey fried. We did that a couple of years ago and it was DELICIOUS!
