This year in primary Ryan's teacher Sister Christiansen encouraged all of the kids to read the Book of Mormon. Like many times before we started out as a family in January and read until we got to 2nd Nephi and then lost momentum.
At the end of October Ryan came home from church so sad because everyone in his class was almost done and yes we were still in 2nd Nephi. Sister Christiansen was great and told him he could still do it. She suggested that he listen to it and follow along. That night I printed out the I read the Book of Mormon sheet off the Internet. He started on November 2nd and finished on December 5th.
When he was finished he asked me if it was the fastest anyone has ever read the Book of Mormon before? I told him it was not the fastest ever but definitely faster then I have ever read it!!!
Way to go Ryan. I am so proud of you!!!

Way to go! I did a challenge with Kaleb at the first of the year to see who could finish the BOM first. I am ashamed to say that he read it in two months while I am still not finished. What a great example I am...NOT!
It is pretty great when 10-year olds make such a big commitment though, isn't it!
