THE WORST BIRTHDAY PARTY EVER

During Katelyn's birthday party Ryan decided to avoid all of the girls and went to swing on the swings. (Notice him in the background). While I was in the middle of teaching the girls a cheer Ryan fell off the swing and caught himself with his hands.

Luckily, Jeff came a few minutes later and took him to the ER to get x-rays. Of course they were both broken!!! We go to the orthopedic surgeon tomorrow to get his casts.
Ryan had to miss his first football game yesterday and will be out for most of the season. Although he is missing out on many things, he is excited about being treated like a King and not being able to write in school for a month or so.
As Ryan was leaving to go to the hospital he told me that this was the worst birthday party he has ever been to.

Hey Karen! Just thought I'd say hi since I saw that you got your blog going. You did a great job, it's super cute. How is Rocky doing? Hopefully he's not too much work. Sorry about your arms Ryan, and Happy Birthday Kate!

Take Care,

Kacey

OUCH! That does sound like a pretty stressful party. The boys are loving looking at the blog with me and catching up on Ryan. We wish him a speedy recovery. Happy Birthday Kate!

That's so crazy!! I can't believe he broke both hands!! And once again, I will say I can't believe how stinking cute your kids are:)

I showed Kaleb this picture of Ryan and he felt so sorry for him (with exception to the idea of getting out of school work because of it). He went on and on about his memories with Ryan. The kid has a photographic memory, I swear! : )

oh my! I hope he's ok! I hope YOU'RE ok! How traumatic! Now he has a great story to tell anytime another kid tries to tell one of those wimpy "ONE broken arm stories". He can swoop in and say "oh yeah? only one arm, huh? well top THIS..."
